The Solovair Penny Loafer in Black Hi-Shine is the sophisticated "mod" icon of the NPS Shoes lineup. It takes the traditional Ivy League silhouette and toughens it up with British industrial DNA, resulting in a shoe that is far more durable and substantial than your average Italian loafer.

The Penny Loafer is a laceless slip-on defined by the decorative "saddle" across the bridge with a small slit—originally designed to hold a copper penny for emergency phone calls.

• The Silhouette: Built on the 493 Last, this loafer features a slightly more refined, almond-shaped toe compared to the chunky Gibson shoes. It manages to be "dressy" without losing the ruggedness Solovair is known for.

• The "Moc-Toe" Stitching: The raised stitching around the toe box (the apron) is hand-finished, adding a layer of craftsmanship and visual texture to the deep black gloss.

• A "Clean" Welt: Unlike the boots, the loafer often utilizes a blacked-out or very subtle welt stitch, making it arguably the most formal shoe in the Solovair catalog.
